An elevator door (at left) at Atlanta’s big Americasmart January 2012 gift show said a lot about just how important “Made in America” is becoming. This year the show opened up with a dedicated section of made in America products. There was a surprising array of high-quality gifts and apparel represented there, and the aisles were packed with eager buyers willing to make a conscious choice to buy American.
But not only were American products being represented in the aforementioned section, they were all over the show! It was obvious vendors were making a statement with in-booth signs proclaiming their products to be made in America. Not only that, the various products were, for the most part, really smart. From comfortable apparel to snazzy tumblers, there was a wide selection for just about everyone. Vendors who have weathered the economy of late know that they just can’t slap a “Made in the USA” label on something and expect it to sell; it has to sell on its own. So to compete with a sea of imports, companies selling USA merchandise are raising the bar on innovation, design and quality. Bravo!
Nashville Wraps’ retail packaging product line for 2012 starts out with a commitment to produce high-quality, affordable packaging from USA vendors we know, have visited and more importantly, work well together with. The Green Way® – Packaging with Purpose line is 99% made in the USA, and Wraps’ entire product line consisting of over 8,000 skus is more than 70% American made.
Nashville Wraps is helping many of our vendors retool, rethink and rehire! Everyone benefits as we all make the conscious choice to read the labels and, whenever possible, buy it/make it in the USA.
