Inspired by her love of Maine, Terri would pack her Oatmeal Raisin Salty Oats for her trips which including paddling the coastal waters and spending time with family and friends around the campfire. These delicious cookies gave her the energy boost she needed and later became the inspiration for her company. In 2005 she moved to her current Cape Code headquarters in a historic warehouse in Hyannis, Massachusetts.

The success of Kayak Cookies is the salty-sweet combination of the cookie – there is no salt in the dough, just a generous sprinkling of coarse salt before each cookie is baked. The Salty Oats line has expanded from the Original Oatmeal Raisin to include Chocolate, Chunky Chocolate Pecan, and Peanut Butter. Every cookie has the finest ingredients like organic oats and raisins, European butter, French cocoa and Belgian chocolate. Terri’s newest addition is a butter cookie – Lavender Shortbread.
