Outside-the-Box Thoughts On Not-So-Plain Kraft Boxes
Need to create a lot of gift boxes and keep costs to a minimum? Try a kraft or white gift box for the base. The gift box shown at right, the KG09 kraft gift box, only costs about a quarter, and with a few creative touches, it’s sensational.
Our medium basket box bench fits inside nicely and makes a good base for the gifts. (Kraft paper or newsprint will work also). To help support the height of the gifts, just leave the lid up. Add a little bit of shred for filler and your choice of embellishments. We added a mulberry tissue fan and a Sinamay bow to complete this look.
The 80% recycled pink jewelry box and the ballotin and truffle boxes used in the gift basket above could hold any manner of small delights: soaps, gift cards, jewelry or candies (remember, use a liner like candy cups with edible gifts). And the little pink bakery box shown would be a charming addition too! Tuck the lids inside, secure with ribbons and voilà – a girly gift!
An inspired wedding idea:
Take our little white gloss 2-inch square box, fill it with seed, seal with a customized label and monogrammed satin ribbon, then hand it out for the traditional rice toss. Bon Voyage!
