It doesn’t happen often…
There are a few factors involved in this piece of good news. First, as we all know, the price of fuel is much lower than it has been in months. Remember back in January when we thought that gas would be well over $5 a gallon by now? It was $2.95 this morning in Hendersonville, Tenn. where Nashville Wraps’ headquarters is.
The second reason is that Nashville Wraps ships over $5 million annually with FedEx, and they tend to pay attention to that. It is a level which not too many businesses achieve. Nashville Wraps switched to FedEx almost exclusively many years ago when UPS went on strike, and we’ve been with them ever since.
Last but not least: Our management team negotiated a great deal! So effective immediately, our FedEx Ground shipping rates are 6.5% lower than our previous contract. We always get discounted rates due to our volume, but our new 2012 rates are even lower. Everyone wins and the savings are passed on to you. Additionally, Nashville Wraps offers $20 flat rate shipping on orders of $250 and free shipping on orders of $500 or more. So if you need a fill-in or a smaller order, it just got cheaper for you! 2012 Summer Gift and Gourmet Shows Are Upbeat
At the time of this post, we have completed shows in Dallas and in Washington DC (the New York Fancy Food Show). Both shows were considerably up. Our staff reported that they could not remember a customer complaining about business or the economy. While all of this is good news, and Nashville Wraps sales are up, we still are cautiously optimistic. See our Summer Trade Show Schedule.
One of the reasons we are doing well at the trade shows is because of our outstanding holiday packaging products being launched at these markets. If you have not received a copy of our new Summer Gift and Gourmet Packaging catalog or the 2012 Holiday Packaging Preview (a separate 20 page mini-catalog), please call us today or follow this link to get yours in the mail: Catalog mailing request link.
